Test of gear bending fatigue limit based on up and down method The bending fatigue strength of gear is an important indicator for gear performance, it is a good approach to gain the bending strength in the light of the test procedure. The test of the single – tooth bending fatigue strength of 20CrMoH carburized gear is discussed. After a series of experiments, the result represents that it is more actual to determine the risk position with broken – line section method. It provides a new approach for evaluating the gear bending fatigue strength. Making full use of this theory, the gearbox can be improved in a certain level.
