How to solve the early pitting corrosion of reducer. Pitting corrosion is definitely related to lubricating oil, and it is also closely related to the material of reducer. Usual use process will have a certain deal with specifications. Another point is that the local overload is caused by the poor contact of gears. The local overload of gears makes the actual contact stress greatly exceed the allowable contact stress of gear materials. Some gears can not reach full tooth length contact or only contact at one end of the tooth, even diagonal contact.

Correct selection of gear material, matching of load and hardness of heat treatment are also the causes of early pitting corrosion.



II. THE EFFECT OF LUBRICATING OIL



Because of the unreasonable lubrication of gear transmission and the unsuitable choice of lubricant, the early pitting corrosion is also affected. Ways to prevent early pitting corrosion of reducer gears:



(1) Rational lubrication of gear reducer transmission and selection of appropriate lubricants.



(2) Improve the gear installation accuracy of the reducer to ensure the contact accuracy of the gears.

For the central drive reducer, if it is not well investigated during assembly and installation, there may be asynchronism between left and right transmission and poor load sharing effect. In this case, one side transmission gear may not bear the load, while the other side transmission gear is overloaded (up to twice the design load), which easily causes progressive pitting corrosion on the tooth surface.
