What are the reasons for the series axle of reducer?

However, in the process of using reducer, the reasons for the series axles of reducer are mastered from the following three points.

1. Series of axes occur because the broken teeth make the input shaft lose its axial restraint, and the driven gears on the middle axle are not tightened tightly with the axle. In actual transmission, because of the insufficient interference between the driven gear and the intermediate shaft, the driven gear produces axial series motion relative to the intermediate shaft, which makes the input shaft produce axial series motion. Therefore, insufficient interference is the main reason for the series axle of reducer. In addition, the steering of the reducer has a certain impact on the series axle.

2. Gear processing deviation causes series shaft. The deflection of the driven gear on the middle axle can cause a series of axles. Gear processing is positioned by the outer circle and the end face, while gear assembly is positioned by the inner hole. Sometimes the inner hole is not concentric with the outer circle, or the inner hole is not perpendicular to the end face, which will make the center line of the machined gear and the inner hole deflect. This deflected herringbone gear is not perpendicular to the plane and axis where the center line is located. When the gear rotates one cycle, an axial reciprocating series will occur at a point on the center line, forcing the input shaft to also move axially once. In actual transmission, because the deflection degree of the two-half driven gears is different, for the input shaft, the axial series motion is the result of the combined action of the two-half driven gears on the intermediate shaft with different deflection degree. In addition, the driven gear on the output shaft also causes series movement because of the gear processing deviation, but because the output shaft is fixed in the axial direction, it forces the intermediate shaft to move, and then forces the input shaft to move in series.

3. The helix angle error of gear causes the series axle. Because of the error of the actual helical angle, the herringbone gears on the middle and output axes will change their alignment, resulting in a series of axes.When the reducer is subjected to positive and negative torque, the tooth thickness error, uneven wear and premature wear on the tooth surface, and the back deformation of the tooth cause a series of axes.

Therefore, the measures to solve the series axle of reducer are to improve the strength of gears, the manufacturing accuracy of gears, and to reduce the roughness of gears and axles. And to improve the installation accuracy and tightness of driven gear and shaft, the most important thing is to achieve reasonable interference fit.
