Gear reducer sealing requirements
The gearing requirements of gear reducers are very high and it is important to give them a good seal. Because the gear reducer is usually installed in a place with poor environmental conditions, if the inhaled air contains particulate matter, dust, or corrosive gas, it will affect the service life of the compressor oil.
Therefore, it is recommended to consider installing an air intake filter for the gear reducer, and always clean and periodically replace the air intake filter. In addition, the sealing requirements of the gear reducer are that no gaskets are allowed to be filled between the split faces of the box, but sealant or water glass can be applied to ensure the seal.
